A new beginning
Well, today is the first day of the rest of my life, as they say. Grif started a new job today (thank the gods!), so Liam and I were on our own for school and had to figure out how to get to the gym via Ventura County’s (most non-existent) public transportation system. Surprisingly, it all worked really well.
It’s funny, but it was actually kind of a relief to get back to our old routine of getting Grif out the door to work, having a little breakfast while we get ourselves organized for the day, tackling the school work, handling the mundane household stuff, and getting ourselves to the gym for Liam’s workout. It’s not that I don’t love having Grif around, but the three of us seem to have a hard time getting traction when we’re all together. It’s like we just can’t get a rhythm for getting everything accomplished during the day. But now, we’re back in the groove, or at least it feels that way.
It will be nice to be able to pay off some debt, catch up on a few bills, restock the essentials and generally not be quite as broke as we’ve been over the past year or so. As a good friend of mine says, I think I’d like to be tested by prosperity for awhile since I’ve proved I can do the adversity thing pretty well.
